The following three sections will focus on improving our projects, by looking at managing multiple clips, and improving our projects audio. We do need to make our projects look their best of course, so we'll have a look at editing our project, and indeed there will be a couple of sections on editing.

The more that you become accustomed to Vegas Pro 10, then you'll realize an important part of the program is the Media Manager, so we'll devote a full section to that. Next we'll continue our workflow investigation, looking at using the Device Explorer, and playing the project amongst other things.

The type of feature that Final Cut Pro users are scratching their head about, and wandering why can't we have these features anymore? So we'll look at, to start off, an overview of Vegas Pro 10, we need to look at system requirements. So in terms of what will be covered in this VTC course, well I'll be looking at features that Vegas has, and does well. As a result it's meant that many users have been tempted to migrate over to either Adobe's Premier Pro, or indeed to Sony's Vegas Pro 10. Now I mention this because the latest version of Final Cut Pro has inadvertently created quite a mutiny, in that many of it's core features were removed in their newest version.

As you probably know there are three big players in the video production software world, Sony, Adobe, and Apple with Final Cut Pro. Well I want to look at as many of the available functions as I can throughout this course, but additionally my perspective will also angle towards how much Vegas Pro focuses on the user, both in terms of useability, and features. So what will we cover here in this VTC course. And now right up to date with Vegas Pro 10, I love it's uncluttered user interface, tied into a familiar Windows navigation structure. In fact, Sound Forge and ACID are probably the first audio editing and music creation tools I first used.
Now I've always had a soft spot for Sony software, going back to early versions of Sound Forge and ACID. So along the way we'll put this claim to the test, and by the end of the course, I'm sure you'll align your point of view, with Sony's perspective on Vegas Pro 10.
Now in this tutorial we're going to look at Sony's Vegas Pro 10 software, which as Sony likes to describe it as innovative and advanced multi-track media editing system. In fact in my day to day life, I run a small multi media studio, Energy Studios, and daily use video production software and audio creation software.
